Star light star bright…
They said when you wish upon a star that your desires would be answered—however nobody ever said that when your wishes are answered, the results would be good.
first star I see tonight…
People have been disappearing for years now, all across the world. Yet nobody seems to turn their head and question where these unfortunate souls had vanished too. They simply blend in with the wall of faces that had vanished along with all the rest of those unlucky wishers. These people seem to be all similar cases—one day perfectly safe—the next they disappear without a trace. Most families’ question where they went, extensively searching for them but without any luck, the victims are never found.
I wish I may, I wish I might…
Every time someone wishes on a star, their wish may not come true—however as soon as they do, retrievers appear to whisk them away to an island far, far away. This isn’t any ordinary island either—it’s an island of broken wishes and lives that have been destroyed. As soon as the wisher is brought to the island their memories are erased—from birth until the moment they get to the island. As soon as their memories are whipped clean a scientist begins experimentation on the wishers.
Have the wish I wish tonight.
The wishers become experiments—first there are the elemental experiments having the ability to manipulate elements such as fire, water, wind, and earth or even metal and healing. Along with manipulating elements they can even have other powers depending on how creative their scientist chose to be. Then there are animal experiments—part human part animal. Lastly there are the failed experiments—experiments who had gone terribly wild.
While the failed experiments are dumped on the forbidden shores left to die, the others are dumped in the village to create a new life for themselves on the island. Sometimes, experiments are selected or are allowed to choose to become a retriever—to serve the scientists.
This story is never ending—a cycle. As long as there are wishers in this world the island will be filled with experiments. All that is left to tell, is your story. Do you think you can survive the island of broken wishes?
