Abilities: Balanced [both] - She uses a combination of both physical abilities and Force abilities. In a conflict, Alene would rather talk her way out, but if that is impossible she is quite able to use the Force, her physical strength, and skill with a lightsaber.
Preferred class: Jedi Sentinel (Alene, as all Jedi are suppose to be, is a very level headed person. She has striven to keep her life in balance. This is clear in the way she handles her force abilities. In battle she uses a combination of her physical strength, knowledge of using the Force, and the training she has with a lightsaber. She has tried to keep her abilities equal in level to make herself a more balanced person.
Although, she has used the ability of her Race to disappear in a battle before, she tries not to use this advantage unless it is completely necessary. It is this ability that is the main reason she has worked so hard to be a Sentinel. The subclasses in the Sentinel class are would make great use of her genetic gift.)

APPEARANCE
Alene is very standard for her Race. She has a slight build, but is very strong regardless. She has pale blond hair that goes about her to her shoulders (she will later let it grow out later in her life). Her skin is also pale. She is about average human height for a female (standing at about 165cm (5'5")). Her only feature that is not human is her bright purple eyes, although this is very common for her Race. As far a clothing, she wears a brown robe, a white tunic, brown leggings, and brown boots. She also has a belt with several pouches where she keeps things she needs and it makes sure she lightsaber is within easy reach.
PERSONALITY
- OVERALL - The main trait that Alene is noted for having upon first meeting her is being very calm. She is generally seen as quiet and contemplative. She puts a lot of quick thought into something before she says something to someone that she doesn't know, so she is often seen as quiet or shy. Once someone has taken the time to get to know here she is generally very talkative and even opinionated when asked her views. She can be very determined when given a task to complete and if ordered to do so, would even give her life to see a mission finished. She is also very loyal to the Jedi Order, even if she is more of a "gray" Jedi (she believes that there needs to be balance in all things). On another level, Alene can have a "bleeding heart" for some things, but this might be due to her youth. She tries to live by the saying: "May time grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference."
- STRENGTHS - Her intelligent, her skills as a Jedi, and invisibility
- WEAKNESSES - doesn't always agree with the Council, "bleeding heart" sometimes, wanting to be balanced all the time.

HISTORY
HISTORY BACKGROUND:
Alene is originally from an uncharted planetary moon that lays beyond the Outer Rim. She refers to the moon as "Zatara," but is unsure if that is the planet's name or the moon's. The moon is mostly a plains like ecosystem and is populated by humanoid creatures that have divided themselves into different tribes based on abilities and eye color (that seems to be linked these talents). Most of the humanoid races have a low level understanding of the Force and how to use it telekinetic properties of it, but they refer to it as the "Life Stream."
Alene was a part of the Inizio tribe (denoted by their bright purple or violet eyes and having the ability to turn invisible and even make their "presence" disappear). This tribe had been in a bloody territory war with the closest tribe (people with electric blue eyes and the ability to see traces of heat when concentrating). When one of the Jedi exploration corps came across this planet they also came across a three-year-old Alene that had just lost her whole family to the war. Although she was very young still the group notice she and the rest of the Inizian people (for those where the only ones that would speak to them) had a high level of intelligence even if they had very little knowledge of the Force they were so readily using. With the tribe leader's "permission" (more of a take her or she'll die without a family to protect her) the exploration crew took Alene with them and sent her back to Coruscant to be tested when they had their return to the inner core planets for supplies. Alene was more than happy to go with the people that wanted to feed her at the time.
Despite Alene's age, the Council accepted her for training as a Jedi. She was placed in one of Yoda's Youngling groups. There she studied under the Jedi Master for four years and met Obi-Wan Kenobi. She learned quickly and excelled in the basic studies of the Jedi ways, understanding of the Force, and use of the Force. She taken as a padawan learner under the teachings of Ki-Adi-Mundi at age seven, very young for a padawan, but the Council (at Yoda's encouragement) agreed to this.
With her master stationed as the Watchman of the section of the Mid Rim that contained Cerea, she spent most of her time with Master Mundi traveling this region as well as on Cerea itself. Since Cerea is a planet that has tried to keep technology at a low level, Alene did not develop her technically skill much during this time. She is a capable pilot and knows a good deal about computers, but prefers not to use them when their are other options available.
In her eighteenth year, she went with Master Mundi to Cerea once again to try and settle the matter of a large group of the new generation that wished for Cerea to engage with more technology. Among the group of rebels was one of Ki-Adi-Mundi's daughter, Sylvn. The simple tech rally that the youth was whole turned dangerous when Ki-Adi attempted to talk so sense into the crowd about the old ways of the Cereans. The crowd rushed the podium that he was speaking from and one of the gang leaders actually managed to get Master Mundi's lightsaber in the confusion. Alene thought quickly and while her Master was trying to get himself out of danger, she turned invisible and got his lightsaber back from the youth before any of the people could be harmed. Sylvn, along with the rest of the tech gang that she was part of, fled the planet with Ephant Mon (known for being involved with Jabba the Hutt) and went to Tatooine.
On Tatooine, Mon took the Cerean youths to Jabba's palace. Fearful that the Jedi might stop the smuggling shuffles that the gangsters were sending out, Mon chained Sylvn to the roof of Jabba's palace. During the battle to save the now kidnapped Cereans Alene's left arm was badly injured, but she continued to attempt to rescue the Cereans. Once she and her Master had safely released Sylvn and the other Cereans, the party fled Jabba's palace and returned to the ship that Ki-Adi and Alene had arrived on.
While on Tatoonie, both Alene and her Master noticed a disturbance in the Force. Although Alene wished to investigate the abnormal trace in the Force, Master Mundi said that now was not the time, pointed out that she was already injured, and they needed to return to Cerea.
In the aftermath of this event, Ki-Adi-Mundi was elected to the Jedi Council and granted the rank of Master (which was odd since he had not yet finished training his padawan) and the Council allowed Alene to count the experiences from this ordeal as part of her Trails (Skill, Courage, and Flesh). The injury that she received to her arm scared, leaving a dark blue coil around her left arm. A few months later, the Council tested her for the remaining Trails and she was made a Jedi Knight.
(This completes her history up to about 8 months before the Naboo conflict in Episode I.)
JEDI BACKGROUND:
16 years. She trained at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. She trained in one of Yoda's youngling groups, but with her skill with the Force she was quickly taken as a padawan learner under Ki-Adi-Mundi. She studied under her Master from ages 7 to 18.
The Trials:
- Skill | Completed as part of the last mission she did with her master.
- Courage | Completed as part of the last mission she did with her master.
- Spirit | "Facing the mirror" (for this part of the Trials she did the traditional meditation and facing her inner darkness).
- Flesh | Completed as part of the last mission she did with her master (she has a scar that wraps around and runs the length of her left arm).
- Insight | She solved a riddle posed to her by each member of the Jedi Council at the time.

UNDERSTANDING THE JEDI CODE

This oldest version of the Jedi Code is the one that Alene prefers because she believes it is more attuned with the workings of the Force. The code is a simple way to remember how a Jedi is suppose to be. To find peace in one's self with letting emotions rule or cloud you, to be knowledgeable in the face of ignorance, to find serenity and control of one's passions, to find harmony in the chaos of the universe, and above all to remember that the Force is greater than death because death is often the greatest fear one has.
EMOTIONS
Emotions are illogical and can easily get in the way or even hide the truth of a situation from you. For this reason, emotions should never be used to make a decision.
DIPLOMACY
Negotiate naturally. Try and find the solution that works best for both parties and to get the fighting to stop and peace to resume.
WISDOM
A Jedi should only draw their lightsaber when there is no other option. We are peacekeepers, not warriors.

LIGHTSABER
As a Sentinel, Alene would have a purple crystal. This color shows several things for her: 1. the combination of blue (which is traditional for Jedi that specialize in combat) and red (which is traditional a Sith color) this shows both the need for a weapon, but also her tenancies for thinking in "shades of gray," 2. the Dark Woman (the person that found her Master Ki-Adi-Mundi and brought him to the Council to be trained as a Jedi) also used a purple crystal, and 3. She happens to think that purple is the color that describes her (or at least her eyes).
SKILLS:
Alene sat cross legged in a meditation chamber attempting to clear her mind. Her purple eyes were closed, and her hands were folded as they always were when she meditated, but the emptiness of her mind was far from happening. Many things had happened in the last several months, and all of it was very rushed in her opinion. In the course of two months, three weeks, and four days she had gone from being a padawan learner to a very young Jedi Knight. It was almost unheard of for a Jedi as young as her to be granted the rank of Knight. Of course, she had been taken on earlier as a padawan too, but this all just seemed like the Council had rushed her.
She reached up to touch the single braid that was still in her hair as a sign of her padawan status. She had been meditating most of the night and was just waiting now to be summoned the Hall to have the braid formally cut off by Master Yoda. Alene took a deep breath. She knew that it was wrong to question the Council's decision, especially since she had passed the Trails they had given her. She focused harder on clearing her mind, but sighed as she sensed the presence of her master near. She opened her eyes and stood. The time for meditation was over and she exited the chamber, leaving her doubts behind.
